Platform Engineer

Salary: £60,000 - 60,000 per year

Requirements

• We are looking for experience in a Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Infrastructure-focused role.
• We need strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure and cloud-based environments, including PaaS and IaaS.
• We require hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code and automating cloud deployments.
• We value familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps and modern release practices.
• We need scripting experience with PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar languages.
• We expect an understanding of cloud security, governance, and compliance best practices.
• We want experience working closely with development teams to enable efficient delivery.
• Applicants must be UK-based and eligible to meet Security Clearance requirements, including UK residency for the past 5 years.

Responsibilities

• We design, implement, and support cloud-based platform solutions across development, test, and production environments.
• We collaborate with engineering teams to improve developer experience and remove delivery obstacles.
• We drive automation across infrastructure and deployment processes to improve efficiency and reliability.
• We monitor, maintain, and optimise platform performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
• We contribute to platform architecture and tooling decisions, identifying opportunities for improvement.
• We ensure platforms meet security, compliance, and operational best practice standards.
• We support CI/CD pipelines and ensure consistent, repeatable deployment processes.
• We act as an escalation point for platform-related issues and support operational excellence.
