Network Security Engineer

Salary: £60,000 - 60,000 per year

Requirements

• Proven experience with Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point, and Juniper firewalls (minimum 5 years)
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, VLANs, NAT, routing, and VPNs
• Excellent troubleshooting skills for complex network issues
• Customer-facing or managed service environment experience
• Relevant security certifications (e.g., PCNSE, NSE4, CCSA) are highly desirable
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support network security solutions for a variety of clients
• Manage and troubleshoot firewalls from Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point, and Juniper
• Conduct firewall rule reviews and optimise security policies
• Support VPN technologies including IPsec and SSL VPN
• Assist in security incident response and troubleshooting
• Collaborate with clients to understand requirements and deliver tailored security solutions
• Produce detailed technical documentation and network diagrams
• Provide second and third-line support for security-related issues
• Work within a team to deliver consistent, high-quality security services
