Technical Product Owner

Salary: £143,000 - 150,000 per year

Requirements

• Experience working as a Product Owner or in a similar delivery-focused role
• Strong experience working closely with software engineering teams
• Proven ability to break down complex problems into clear, actionable requirements
• Comfortable working in agile environments (Scrum / Kanban)
• Detail-oriented, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Able to work effectively in environments with ambiguity and changing priorities
• Background in a software or product-led organisation (desirable)
• Experience working with tools such as GitHub, Jira or similar (desirable)
• Understanding of software development processes and technical concepts (desirable)

Responsibilities

• Translate product roadmap into epics, user stories, and detailed requirements
• Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring priorities are clear and aligned
• Work closely with engineering teams to plan, deliver, and iterate on features
• Participate in agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives)
• Track delivery progress, provide clear updates, and surface risks early
• Remove blockers and ensure the team remains focused and productive
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to balance priorities
• Make informed trade-offs to maximise value delivery
