Salary: £104,000 - 104,000 per year

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Experience with GCP services including IAM, VPC Networking, Cloud Run, GKE, Cloud Logging, Cloud Monitoring, and Secret Manager
• Strong Terraform and Infrastructure as Code experience
• Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with GitHub, GitHub Actions, and repository management
• Understanding of cloud security and DevSecOps principles
• Desirable: experience implementing GCP landing zones
• Desirable: public sector or regulated environment experience
• Desirable: experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, or Cloud Build
• Desirable: knowledge of Kubernetes and container platforms
• BPSS clearance required

Responsibilities

• Build and support secure GCP environments across multiple stages of delivery
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
• Design and support CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
• Administer GitHub repositories, workflows, and GitHub Actions
• Implement cloud security controls, IAM, and secrets management
• Monitor platform health, performance, and security

We are seeking a hands-on GCP DevOps Engineer to support the build and operation of secure Google Cloud Platform environments, CI/CD tooling, and Infrastructure as Code solutions. You will work within our cloud delivery team to help establish GCP landing zones, automate platform provisioning, support GitHub administration, and enable development teams to deploy applications securely and efficiently. This is a 5-month contract role offered at £400/day outside IR35, working predominantly remotely with occasional travel to London if required. BPSS clearance is required, and SC clearance is not necessary.
