Site Reliability Engineer AWS Terraform Automation

Salary: £90,000 - 90,000 per year

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering
• Strong experience with AWS; Azure is a bonus
• Scripting experience with Bash, PowerShell, Python, and CDK
• Infrastructure as Code expertise with Terraform and CDK
• Calm under pressure with strong communication and collaboration skills
• Passion for reliability, automation, and clean infrastructure code
• Ownership-driven, proactive, and a continuous learner who shares knowledge generously

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable AWS infrastructure using infrastructure as code, including Terraform, CloudFormation, and CDK
• Improve monitoring, logging, alerting, and overall observability
• Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and preventative engineering
• Automate operational toil to free up engineering time
• Enhance SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs for critical services
• Partner with DevOps and engineering teams to improve release stability
• Drive disaster recovery and business continuity improvements and reliability initiatives
• Conduct capacity planning and performance testing
