Solution Architect - AI Delivery in Retail

Salary: £100,000 - 100,000 per year

Requirements

• We have strong background in retail technology, ideally across omnichannel, stores, supply chain or digital.
• We have hands-on experience delivering AI/ML initiatives in a real production environment.
• We can design end-to-end solutions across data pipelines, APIs, cloud services and application components.
• We have architecture experience as a Solution Architect or Domain Architect, with the ability to operate as a tech lead.
• We have experience working in agile squads with engineers, BAs and Product Owners.
• Development experience in any language is a strong plus.
• Experience contributing to AI strategy or enterprise-level AI roadmaps is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• We act as the Solution Architect, Technical Lead and Agile Architect within a cross-functional squad.
• We shape end-to-end AI solution design across applications, data, integration and cloud.
• We translate business goals into scalable, secure, production-ready architectures.
• We guide engineers on implementation patterns, technical decisions and delivery risks.
• We work closely with Product Owners and BAs to shape the backlog and roadmap.
• We ensure architectural governance, quality and alignment across teams.
• We support large-scale retail organisations in rolling out AI initiatives across use cases such as contact centre automation, chatbots, customer personalisation, computer vision, supply chain optimisation and finance optimisation.

We are hiring a hands-on Solution Architect / Agile Architect for AI delivery in retail. This is a high-impact role for someone who has taken AI products from concept through to production and can lead delivery squads across enterprise retail clients. The package is £85k-£100k, and the role is based in London with 80% remote working.
