Workday Solution Architect

Salary: £70,000 - 75,000 per year

Requirements

• We require active UK SC clearance.
• We are looking for experience as a Workday Solution Architect, Technical Consultant, or Senior Functional Consultant with architecture responsibilities.
• We need a strong understanding of Workday HCM architecture.
• We require experience producing solution designs and performing impact assessments.
• We need knowledge of Workday integrations and APIs.
• We require understanding of Workday data structures and reporting concepts.
• We need experience engaging with business and technical stakeholders.
• We require the ability to work within a complex enterprise environment.
• Exposure to Payroll and Identity & Access Management is desirable.
• Experience integrating Workday with ERP, payroll, or identity platforms is desirable.
• Previous experience supporting Workday implementation programmes and BAU services simultaneously is desirable.
• Experience working alongside Workday Professional Services and AMS providers is desirable.

Responsibilities

• We provide solution architecture support across HCM, Payroll, Identity & Access Management, and related Workday services.
• We attend stakeholder workshops and translate business requirements into solution designs.
• We produce solution designs and architecture documentation.
• We complete technical and integration impact assessments.
• We conduct architecture reviews and provide governance throughout delivery.
• We support implementation teams with architectural guidance.
• We work across Workday data structures, reporting, integrations, and API discussions.
• We analyse source and target system integrations.
• We support technical investigations and resolve architectural challenges.
• We provide solution architecture, impact assessments, and technical guidance for change requests and enhancements.
• We collaborate with Workday Professional Services, the incumbent AMS partner, and enterprise application owners to ensure successful delivery.
• We help shape the delivery of Learning, Advanced Compensation, and additional Talent capabilities in the upcoming programme.

We are supporting a major IT services and digital transformation organisation delivering Workday services for one of the UKs most recognised engineering and manufacturing enterprises. This is a hybrid East Midlands contract role with regular onsite attendance required and remote working flexibility. The assignment is an initial 6-month, full-time contract starting ASAP. You will join a high-profile enterprise Workday programme supporting a large-scale digital HR transformation, working across an established live environment and the next phase of Workday delivery. You will collaborate with multiple specialist partners and enterprise technology teams, gaining exposure to a broad Workday ecosystem.
