PostgreSQL Database Administrator

Salary: £70,000 - 75,000 per year

Requirements

• We require strong PostgreSQL DBA experience.
• We require AWS cloud experience, preferably with RDS PostgreSQL or Aurora.
• We require experience in performance tuning and database optimisation.
• We require experience supporting production or live environments.
• We require experience with monitoring and incident management.
• We require active SC Clearance.

Responsibilities

• We support and maintain AWS PostgreSQL databases.
• We monitor database performance and platform health.
• We identify and resolve performance issues proactively.
• We carry out database optimisation and housekeeping.
• We reduce technical debt and improve operational stability.
• We communicate risks, issues, and service impacts to stakeholders.

We are supporting a client on a business-critical AWS cloud programme and are looking for 2 experienced PostgreSQL DBAs to join the team. This is a hands-on operational role focused on maintaining platform stability, performance, and availability within a live production environment. The position is remote, available for an ASAP start, and offered as an initial 3-month contract with a high likelihood of extension, inside IR35.
