Azure Cloud Engineer

Salary: £42,000 - 72,500 per year

Requirements

• Active eSC Clearance
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure
• Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform, Bicep, or ARM
• Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipeline experience
• Networking knowledge including VNets, NSGs, Firewalls, and Load Balancers
• Experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Azure Backup
• PowerShell and/or Python scripting experience
• Experience with Azure Active Directory (Entra ID) and RBAC
• Desirable: Kubernetes (AKS) and Docker
• Desirable: Azure Landing Zones
• Desirable: Microsoft security tooling including Defender for Cloud and Microsoft Sentinel
• Desirable: Azure certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-305, or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, support, and optimise Azure cloud infrastructure
• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or Bicep
• Develop and improve CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting across Azure services
• Support cloud migrations and platform modernisation projects
• Ensure environments meet security, governance, and compliance requirements
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and platform issues across production and non-production environments
