Desktop Support Technician

Salary: £30,000 - 35,000 per year

Requirements

• We require 3–5 years of experience in desktop support within an enterprise environment.
• We require strong knowledge of Windows OS support for desktop and laptop systems.
• We require experience supporting Microsoft Office and other business applications.
• We require experience with hardware installations, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• We require experience using ticket management systems.
• We require experience with Active Directory, including user management and permissions.
• We require strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• We prefer experience supporting large-scale deployments or migrations.
• We prefer exposure to server moves, hardware rollouts, data centre environments, or warehouse environments.
• We prefer MacOS support experience.

Responsibilities

• We provide end-user technical support by diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues.
• We install, configure, and upgrade desktop and laptop systems, operating systems, applications, and user profiles.
• We perform hardware deployments and refreshes, including equipment setup and installation, imaging and configuration, data transfer and backup, and device decommissioning or redeployment.
• We deliver remote and on-site technical support, including desk-side assistance.
• We troubleshoot and maintain workstations, peripherals, printers, and basic network connectivity issues.
• We use ticketing systems to manage and document support requests.
• We support the creation and maintenance of technical documentation.
