Support Engineer (Clinical Systems)

Salary: £45,000 - 45,000 per year

Requirements

• Experience within NHS IT, clinical systems, or healthcare application support environments
• Understanding of clinical workflows and healthcare terminology
• Ability to interpret and investigate application issues logically
• Experience working within structured, process-driven environments
• Service desk or support background with strong troubleshooting ability
• Clear communication skills with both technical and clinical users
• Ability to work independently within a small, collaborative team
• SQL exposure is desirable for basic data understanding and investigation, but advanced querying or development skills are not required

Responsibilities

• Provide 1st and 2nd line support
• Investigate and resolve application and workflow-related incidents
• Review logs, error messages, and system alerts to identify root causes
• Support integration-related queries across HL7 and DICOM environments
• Work within structured, documented processes
• Collaborate with internal technical teams on more complex issues
• Understand and interpret clinical workflows and patient data pathways
• Ensure all tickets are accurately documented and resolved within SLA
