How long is a job posting usually up before it is filled?

Duration alone does not prove a role is fake. Senior, niche, and compliance-heavy roles genuinely take longer, and some employers repost automatically when a listing ages out of a job board. What matters is duration combined with other signals: an apply link that no longer resolves, a careers page that never lists the role, or a description recycled verbatim across months.
