Is this company hiring or is it a ghost job?
A company may not be actively hiring if the same role has been reposted for months, the careers page shows no matching opening, or applicants report silence after easy apply. Compare the listing date, repost history, and trust signals before you treat the job as live.
There is no public database of “intent to hire,” but repost churn, expired apply links, and ghost-likelihood scores are practical proxies. When in doubt, apply only after a trust scan and a direct check on the company’s official jobs page.
